Hello, nice to meet you…

I’m Christie Harger, on the south side of twenty-something and just married.  In 2011, I crossed the ditch from New Zealand to Melbourne, Australia. Since then, I’ve lived the professional life in Melbourne’s metropolis while fitting in travel fixes over weekends and holidays. I am a Chartered Accountant and love to write as a freelancer in my spare time.

This blog Heels and Hindsight is centred around a passion for writing and travel. Subscribers can enjoy updates every three weeks and an ever-growing archive of my travel misadventures. Nothing ever goes smoothly when travelling with me, I assure you!

When I was eight years old, my parents gave me a world globe for Christmas. I would spin it around and see what country my finger landed on. I displayed it with pride of place above my desk. Looking at those masses of land, they were no more than coloured blobs surrounded by blue. Little did I know that this globe would be a treasure I carried with me into adulthood. Since then, I’ve been visiting as many places as I can, bringing these land masses from my globe to life.
